Jim Beucler
Jim joined the Stone Mountain Church in 1985 when his family was transferred to Georgia from Dallas, TX, where he was a member and Head Deacon of the Oak Cliff SDA Church. He has served the Stone Mountain church as a deacon, school board member and assistant treasurer. In 2004 Jim was elected as the Treasurer and has served in this position since then.
Jim was born in 1945 and grew up on a farm in South Dakota. He is a third generation Adventist. In 1958 the family moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico, where he attended Sandia View Academy (59-63). Jim also attended Southwestern Adventist College (65-67), majoring in Business Administration. In 1968 he left college to go to “Computer Programming School”. In 1969 he started his business career in Dallas, Texas as a programmer and has been working with computers ever since.
Jim is married with 3 grown children (and no grandkids). His wife, Gloria, is a nurse and an avid quilter. His 3 children: James Jr. lives in Portland, Oregon, Cyndi is married and lives in the Atlanta area and Cheryl lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
Jim works for Macy’s Systems and Technology and has been employed there for over 30 years. He enjoys working and playing on the computer, genealogy, fishing, woodworking, and photography.
