Ministry Journey

Pastor Guadalupe Montour is thrilled to serve as part of the pastoral team at Stone Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her ministry journey has taken her to other wonderful places. For the past six years, she has had the honor of serving at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church on the campus of Union Adventist University In Lincoln, Nebraska. Before that, she spent five years at the Southern New England Conference in Lancaster, Massachusetts, working with the Youth, Young Adult, and Family Life Departments.

Her passion for sharing the good news of freedom and life has led her to Mexico, Thailand, Peru, and Venezuela as well as various parts of the United States. She has loved every minute of mentoring young people, leading worship experiences, creating opportunities for connection, facilitating retreats and delivering and empowering others to deliver messages of hope and love in local churches.

Faith and Education

Raised in Queens, NY, her faith journey began at 16 when she accidentally wandered into an Evangelistic Series. That transformative experience led her and her brother Erick to commit their lives to Christ. It has been an incredible journey ever since.

Her educational journey began at Atlantic Union College in Lancaster, MA, where she graduated in 2005 with degrees in Theology and Religion. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Pastoral Ministry at Andrews University and will soon begin studying for her Master’s in Mental Health. She believes in always growing and learning to serve better.

Family and Calling

On the home front, she is blessed to be married to her wonderful husband, Nick who serves as a mental health specialist. They have two amazing daughters, Ericka and Isabella, and two adorably annoying Dachshunds dogs named Frisco and Mia.

Pastor Montour approaches her role with faith, trusting God to work in and through all of us to bring hope and light as we live and breathe. She is here to walk with, learn with, and grow with the wonderful community of Stone Mountain Church.
